Aragonite

Aragonite is actually calcium carbonate.  It is commonly formed in caverns, hot springs, and cavities of lava flows.  It can also be formed by living organisms that construct shells which later turn to Aragonite or Calcite

It is usually white, but sometimes it can be found in gray, green, yellow or violet.  It has two directions of cleavage and a glassy luster.  It can form radiating crystals or massive deposits.
